Week 9: Speed Mentoring

Updated: Dec 21, 2021

We can’t start this blog talking about the past week, without mentioning last Wednesday’s Milab Meeting. During the last class we had, our team pitched the idea to a few mentors for the first time. How Exciting!!!

Honestly, it was a great experience, and we are truly looking forward to getting even better at this.

Moving on to the actual idea, as a result of the conversations we had with the mentors, we realized we have to pivot our idea a bit. Just a tiny reminder, our original idea was to connect different teens who share the same feelings to an anonymous chat, in which they can relate to one another and “talk it off”. We’ve realized that we shouldn’t use chat as a feeling relief mechanism and that there might be other ways to “let go” of those bad feelings.

One of the mentors told us a sentence that made everything clear to us: “You, as an entrepreneur, don’t always have to do what the customer ask of you. Sometimes they don’t know what they need, and its your job to come up with the right solution”.

We’ve realized that we thought of this process the wrong way, the teens told us the wanted to share, so we gave them a sharing platform. Once we realized this important piece, we “blew up” and knew what we need to do.

We cant wait for the upcoming weeks, watching all our work coming together🙂
